Two games tonight – both standing at 3-2 with the tonight’s away teams on the brink of series victory.
In the 1AM GMT tip off, the Toronto Raptors face the Philadelphia 76ers. I backed the Raptors to win the series 4-2, so I’m hoping that they can get the job done tonight in Philly. They’re odds on favourites tonight, so I’m happy with that selection regardless of tonight’s result.
I’ve bet on it most games this series with no luck so far, so I’m going to have to go again with Ben Simmons to post a triple-double at 11/2 with Skybet. He’s only managed one triple-double during these playoffs (second game in the previous round), but is usually there or thereabouts. He managed to average near enough 17-9-8 this season and posted 10 triple-doubles, so hopefully he can bring his regular season form to the game tonight. Fingers crossed.
The late game is between the Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers. No doubt this will be another tight game between these two well-matched teams, but I’m just about siding with a win for the Nuggets. I’ve paired these two results up and backed the Toronto Raptors & Denver Nuggets both to win at a healthy 7/2 with Skybet.
One at a properly big price now: Jokic and Simmons both to post triple-doubles at 25/1 with Skybet. These two are both triple-double machines when on their game – we’ve already been through Simmons’ credentials, so on to Nikola Jokic: averaged 20-10-7 in the regular season, posted 12 triple-doubles, managed another four and averaging 24-13-9 during the postseason. Impressive. Sure, it’s unlikely these two both manage it, but I can’t resist at 25/1.
Last but not least – Jokic to post a triple-double and Lillard 25+ points at a boosted 6/1 with Skybet. The Jokic half of that bet is 3/1 and I can’t see Lillard failing to score 25 in tonight’s ‘win or go home’ game. In this year’s playoffs, Lillard is averaging near 30 points per and has scored 25 in all but two games. If both he and the Joker can play to their post season averages, 6/1 should look a very nice price.
Jokic to post a triple-double and Lillard 25+ points @ 6/1 – 1pt
Toronto Raptors & Denver Nuggets both to win @ 7/2 – 1pt
Ben Simmons to post a triple-double @ 11/2 – 1pt
Jokic and Simmons both to post triple-doubles @ 25/1 – ½pt
