James Harden and the Rockets face the Toronto Raptors in Houston tonight in a game that pits this season’s offensive powerhouse against one of the league’s best defenses.
Harden is looking to continue his onslaught – he’s averaging over 52 points per game over his last five – against a Toronto team that currently holds the second best record in the league.
I fancy Harden to still manage to score over his now customary 30 points, but it should be harder than ever up against backcourt defensive supremos Kyle Lowry and Danny Green. Additionally, Harden will have to overcome two-time Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard, who could possibly (hopefully!) have the task of stopping Harden tonight.
Considering this, I think Harden will be looking to pass more than he has done over his past few games (he’s averaging just 4.2 assists over his last five games) and could be looking more for a triple-double than a 50+ night. I’ve had a point on Harden to have 10+ assists and 2+ steals at 7/2 with Skybet. Over that same stretch of games Harden has averaged 2.6 steals and he’s averaging 2.1 for the season. If you’re feeling brave – he’s available at 10/1 to post a triple-double.
Lets see a more all-around game from The Beard tonight…!
Harden over 10 assists and over 2 steals @ 7/2 – 1pt
Harden triple-double @ 10/1 – 1/2pt
